Position Description

A healthcare facility in Georgia is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Critical Care team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week
  • Hours: 7pm to 7:30am
  • On Call: Not required
  • Setting: Inpatient ICU

Responsibilities:

  • Managing 10-15 critically ill patients per shift in collaboration with attending physicians
  • Conducting patient assessments and implementing appropriate interventions
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Documenting in EMR (Cerner)
  • Performing ICU procedures, including central and arterial line insertions
  • Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and communicating with nursing staff

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in an ICU and/or Critical Care setting
  • Master's Degree
  • Active GA Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license;

    NPs must hold Acute Care certification (ACNP))
  • DEA/CDS registration
  • Proficiency in Central and Arterial Line insertions (case logs required)

Desired Skills:

  • Prior ICU/critical care experience beyond minimum requirements
  • Experience with Cerner EMR
